Danielle Bernstein Summer Collection Haul
I have always admired Danielle Bernstein’s style. She is extremely chic, effortless, and totally cool. She is the woman behind @weworewhat on Instagram. An account she started almost 10 years ago, dedicated to posting a daily outfit of the day inspiration for all. I have been a follower of hers for several years, and I have taken a dive into her content even more since April.
When everything started to shut down in April, so many small businesses had to close their shop doors and rely on online sales only. Danielle started seeing tons of small businesses reach out to her, telling their story, and asking for help. From what she showed on her stories, she had a deep desire to help as many people as she could. It’s one of the many reasons why I admire her so much. After that she started posting her purchases of clothing from the small businesses that reached out to her. Once Danielle’s audience saw her posts, the small businesses were selling out of stock.
Not only is Danielle an Instagram influencer, but she designs clothes as well. She has her own clothing line named after her We Wore What Instagram and a seasonal collection sold at Macy’s named Danielle Bernstein. Throughout the last few months I have purchased pieces from her Macy’s collection in an attempt to build a more chic wardrobe. All pieces are under $100, and as the months have passed they have gone on sale, which is even more enticing!
I know you might think that’s a lot of clothing you would just wear for the few summer months… Wrong! I think just about all of the pieces I purchased can be worn all throughout fall as well! I purchased most of the clothing in neutral black and tan colors just for this reason. Also, neutral colors are my absolute favorite! Perfectly timeless. This has grown to be my absolute favorite summer dress! I love how it flows but it still fitted to give me an extremely flattering shape. My favorite way to wear this is to style with gold jewelry and black accessories. Since it is a neutral color you can easily make this dress work in the fall. This color is currently sold out, however she is launching her Fall collection at the beginning of September and this dress is in the collection and will have more color options! Dress size: Small
As you can see I am obsessed with this color! This suit can be worn so many different ways. Wear it to work with the pants, or wear it for a trendy look and pair it with the matching bike shorts. This is the same suit but in black. Same extremely flattering fit. The pants are a skinny fit with a chic slit at the bottom and the blazer is long but fitted. Obviously you can wear this together, I paired it with a white bodysuit, or you can wear them separately. I would wear the blazer with a plain top and jeans for a casual look and for a more chic look, I would wear the pants with a tank with shoulder pads. Blazer size: Small. Pant size: 4.
Yes, yes again with this color. But I think it is another great neutral option and is a great transition piece for fall. I would always wear these pieces together, and style with gold jewelry and black accessories. Top size: Small Short size: 4
This is a beautiful satin, light green with small white polka dots. I love that the structure of the dress has a peplum accent to bring attention to the top and can slim out any body type. I love to use gold jewelry to style and would actually prefer to use white accessories to match up with the white polka dots. Dress size: 4.
Lastly is this super trendy bandana top. It is an extremely soft satin blend material. You can wear it with bike shorts and an oversized blazer like I have above, or you can wear it with straight leg trousers for a more chic and polished look. Shirt size: Small.
