My Fall Decorations
We are finally in the Fall season!! Well, I guess we have been for a month but I feel it is perfectly appropriate to show you how I decorated for Fall. I started decorating at the beginning of September, yes I am one of those people! As you have heard me say a million times before, I LOVE the Fall season!!! The color, fashion style, smells, food, and drinks always get me in a happy mood. To me this makes total sense as to why people start getting in the spirit of Fall the second September rolls around. Let’s also be honest, I think the reason people are obsessed with Fall is because the Christmas holiday is right around the corner (stay tuned for all the Christmas posts as I am a Christmas freak!).
Okay, now I’m getting ahead of myself!! So, sorry.. Below are some shots of how I decorated our townhome for Fall. A little more simple than I would have liked but all of things I purchased were on sale and inexpensive. Decorating on a budget!
My favorite places to shop for decorations are TJ Maxx/Home Goods, Target, and Hobby Lobby. I was able to find most items on sale or at a low price point.
Wreath: $29.99 from TJ Maxx. This is the most expensive in the picture. I have done some research and found that the lower the price point the lower the quality. I love the look of this wreath and will definitely use it next year!
Door Mat: I got my door mat from Target (I think it is sold out on line but I would check your local store). All mats are between $15-$20.
Mums: This is my favorite type of flower to have out front. I got these mums from Home Depot for about $15 each.
Pumpkin: You can get pumpkins from pretty much anywhere. My ideal place would be a pumpkin patch, but I picked up mine from the local grocery store. Trader Joe’s has a bunch of rustic ones in different colors that are at a great price point too!
As you can see I love pumpkins and leaves! I purchased most of the pumpkins from Target (in the front dollar section), some from Hobby Lobby (if you go towards the end of September, all Fall decor is 50% off!), and the bronze pumpkin is from my Mom (something that she used to decorate with).
I had all of my leaf decoration left over from last year. I got a long garland from Hobby Lobby, cut them to fit the length of the table, and used loose leaves I had to the center piece. I also get most of my small signs from TJ Maxx/Home Goods.
Lastly, the extremely cute banner was made by my mom and her friend! BossyBanners, currently sold at Fiddlesticks and you can comment below if you want one! They are $15 each, there are a bunch of different options, and made with love! Fun Fact: Kollin made all of the furniture (minus the dining chairs) in these photos. I come up with the concept, he makes it, and I will help sand and stain!
This is our TV stand (made by Kollin, he’s the best) that I decorated. I got the antique silver pumpkin several years ago from Hobby Lobby, as well as the leaves, and the metal pumpkin bag from TJ Maxx. Kollin and I both like the antique/industrial decor, and I think it compliments the TV stand really well.
This little nook is above our stairs and is such a cute place to decorate for all the holidays. All items were purchased from Hobby Lobby at 50% off!
This spot is the landing, going upstairs and is also a spot I enjoy decorating. Kollin also built this bench and I love having it in this spot! Again, all pumpkins are from Hobby Lobby for 50% off.
