Small Business Gift Guide
Well everyone it’s that time of year! If you are on any type of social media like me, I’m sure you have seen that all brands are promoting their sales, new product and holiday must haves. As an uncontrollable shopper (aka shopaholic), I have been thinking a lot about who I buy from and where my money is going once I purchase something. It is extremely convenient to purchase from places like Amazon and mainstream/established brands, but what about small brands? With all that has happened this year why not support small businesses that have owners who not only creates, promotes and ships all of their items themselves, but care enough to give back to charities and organizations they are passionate about helping.
Over the last few weeks I have done some research to put together a list of small businesses to checkout. There are an overwhelming number of brands out there to choose from so I tried to narrow it down to ones I have personally purchased from, or that I am going to purchase from this year.

Thrive Causmetics: Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara: $24 (My holy grail mascara!) Brilliant Eye Brightener: $24 (One of the only eye shadow products I have been using). This is not necessarily a small business, but for every product purchased they donate to help women thrive! (see how they give)
Persona Cosmetics: Identity Palate $42 (Currently 30% off Cyber Monday sale). This is my favorite eye shadow palate. Sona Gasparian is a Makeup Artist/Beauty YouTuber who started her own makeup line that is cruelty free and has some items that are vegan.
Allie Glines: Gray Classic Bag Collection: $58 (Use AfterPay to break up payments if needed). This growing brand has been a favorite of mine because of the simply chic styles of her makeup and travel bags. Allie Glines is a beauty YouTuber that created her brand a year ago.
Home Essentials Gifts
Bossy Banners: This small business I am a little bias on as it is owned by my lovely Mother and her bestie Christine! Family matters aside, anytime I show a picture of my holiday banners or when people seen them up everyone loves them! All Banners are hand made and range from $15-$25 each. They are currently being sold at a boutique in downtown McHenry IL called Fiddlesticks. Rockaway Candle Company: 3 Candle Bundles: $45. Small business owned by a woman! She does all the pouring and business operations herself and does an amazing job. All products are organic and scents are not too over powering.
Clay and Yarn Goods: All products currently on sale at 20%! If you love boho style decor accents and simply yet elegant jewelry then this is the shop for you! This Etsy Shop is a woman owned business and all products are beautifully hand made.
Protein Essentials: I have been using this collagen protein for years and have seen great improvement with my hair and nail growth! You can have this collagen powder in water and not taste it! I also love the Chocolate Protein Powder. It is perfect for when I am on the go and need some extra fuel.
Franca: This is a Latina owned small business that hand makes all of their ceramic products. If you are looking for boho accents for your home or as gifts then this is the business for you!
Bliss Wine and Gifts: If you are in the Northwest Suburbs area of Illinois then check this small town boutique wine bar in Wauconda IL. They offer a large range of red, white, and sparkling wine that would make the perfect gift for anyone who loves wine (which is probably everyone). It is a wine lovers destination for drinks and a good time with friends.
